Cable sucks.  It’s expensive, unreliable and yet – many of us find ourselves customers year after year. The truth is that quitting cable sucks, too. As part of DIRECTV’s “Quit Cable” campaign, I created and wrote an Alexa skill that streamlines the entire process. Simply say, “Alexa, help me quit cable” and the skill will navigate those infamous phone trees to connect you directly to the right cable representative. Alexa will even coach you through the quitting process with meditative breathing and playfully remind you why you should have quit cable years ago.

Cable Cutter is available on the Amazon Skill Store and can be enabled on Echo’s everywhere, even in my parents’ home. They’ll never quit cable, though, but this isn’t for them! Produced in collaboration with North Kingdom.
